MYTHOS

The thing that you fear most is your own soul. The spiritual experience is not the soul experience. Your soul is a far more hideous phenomenon. It is something humanity can’t deal with but it is what we are. In the pre dynastic text there was always some being that was destined to destroy the earth. Later that was diluted into a text that had these monsters that would come out of sea to destroy the Alexandria library every night and the people would rebuild in during the day until some priest stopped the monsters by placing some hieroglyphic spells in the water. (Yes just like Prometheus and Hercules) Likewise the Egyptian goddess Sekhmet was going to destroy mankind till she was sated by beer. The part about the beer is just there to protect your sanity. The predynastic people taught that a monster would revisit the earth to destroy it. Later this devolved into Horus then Christ. But elements of the destruction still remain because remember The so called second coming of Christ is an Eschatological concept (end of the world). We also see it in the Sphinx which is combination of Horus and Sekhmet. Sekhmet to destroy you and Horus to help you keep a grip on your sanity. And this monster is your soul. And you are just an emanation of your soul. What is a projection to the projector, it can be turned on or off at will. You may reject this or you may embrace its but you are a dream that never existed. We search for the ideal but suffer with the real.
